How do I know my writing is any good?

So, you think you're a great writer, but you'd like someone else to agree? Getting an honest and unbiased opinion is important. Rejection letters are often too generic, and what one editor hates another may love
A good way of getting constructive feedback is to join a writer's community, where other writers can offer constructive criticism of your work.
One of my favourites is Frances Ford Coppola's Virtual Studio. It's free to join, and you're then able to post your stories. You will have to read and review the work of other writers before being able to read reviews of your own work. I've always found the feedback helpful and constructive.
