They say a picture is worth 1000 words, but for writers, we're creating word pictures.Great images can be a wonderful source of inspiration. Today's blog looks at sources of images for picture prompts.
If you are on social media, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Pintrest can provide inspiration, and odd stories that can spark your writing.
I like Pixabay, a free image site, which I use regularly for images to illustrate my work. Most of the images can be used freely, without attribution, and can be used for commercial purposes. typing in a keyword (such as a genre eg: Fantasy) will give you a range of images to inspire you to write. below are some examples:
