Music to write by

Research has found that listening to certain types of music simulates creativity. (See links below) Baroque music is particularly effective.

When I'm struggling either with how to develop a story further, or simply not sure what to write about, I put on the music that inspires me, and then practice 'free writing' - writing whatever comes into my mind, until my thoughts begin to find cohesion. Some of my favourites are The Four Seasons byb Vivaldi, but lately I've discovered that Amici works too.

If you're struggling with 'writer's block, then it's worth a try.
